The future Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich invites applications for a Full or Associate Professor to develop and lead a research group in Agricultural Economics. The Professor will be expected to develop an internationally recognized research program. Her or his research will lead to new methods and models to understand and forecast the economics of agricultural systems and their linkages to environmental systems. These methods and models will be applicable to a wide range of systems and address issues within the Department's strategic core area on food security as well as links between food production and the environment. Research and teaching should deal with challenges faced by broader agricultural economic issues worldwide, but also Swiss agriculture. 

The Professorship will engage in extensive research and teaching collaborations with other colleagues from Natural Sciences and Social Sciences at ETH Zurich and with other relevant institutions. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses (German or English) and graduate level courses (English) within the programs in Agricultural and Food Sciences as well as Environmental Sciences.
