The Beacom School of Business at The University of South Dakota is currently seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics beginning August 22, 2012.
Successful candidates must either be academically or professionally qualified to teach a variety of undergraduate economics courses, including Principles of Micro, Principles of Macro, and Managerial Economics, and upper-level courses in their field. All fields will be considered, with a slight preference for people interested in Public, Development, and/or Environmental economics. Candidates for this position are required to have a Ph.D. in Economics, preferably completed before August 22, 2012.
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching. The teaching load is three classes per semester. Faculty may occasionally be expected to teach classes at the Sioux Falls campus or online. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
