The Program:
The Master of Science (MS) program in Banking and Finance at Eastern Mediterranean University is designed to equip graduate students with specialized analytical skills applicable to their professional interests in corporate finance, investment appraisal/cost-benefit analysis, project finance, financial risk management, commercial and investment banking, international finance, and financial economics.
The graduate students may earn their MS degree in Banking and Finance in two ways:
Courses plus thesis (7 courses + seminar + thesis) Courses plus term paper (10 courses + term paper)
Area of Specialization:
Masters program gives students the opportunity to develop one or more areas of academic and professional specialization in addition to the program’s core curriculum in finance. These specialization areas are: a)Banking, b)Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis, c)Finance and Risk Management, d) Financial Economics.
International Collaborations:
Department of Banking and Finance has collaboration agreements with the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), The John Deutsch International Executive Programs of Queens University, Canada, and the Ukranian Academy of Bankers.
Graduate students in the Department of Banking and Finance have an option to earn the Associate of the Institute of Canadian Banker (AICB) designation, as well as the Queen’s University Certificate in Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis.
Admission Requirements:
In order to be admitted to the Master’s Program in Banking and Finance, the applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
The applicant must have a B.A Diploma or the equivalent, demonstrating that he/she has satisfactorily graduated from university. The applicant must demonstrate proficiency in English; hold minimum TOEFL score of 550, or an equivalent test score; or passes the proficiency examination at EMU in order to be permitted to register for the Master’s program.
Scholarships:
EMU scholarships that cover up to 50% of the tuition fee are available for all overseas students.
