GENERAL DESCRIPTION The I.S.E.O summer school is the only summerschool in the world in which Nobel Laureates teaches. It is organized by the I.S.E.O INSTITUTE, a non profit institute, ( I.S.E.O stands for Institute of Studies on Economics and Occupation) since 2004.
For its VII edition, which will take place in Iseo (Brescia, Italy) from 19-26th June 2010, it will features 3 Nobel Laureates in Economics and some outstanding international economists

The title of the upcoming edition, which will be chaired by our President, Prof. Robert Solow, is "Towards the New Architecture. Emerging and developing economies after the crisis." The aim of the I.S.E.O. Summer School is that of bringing together a large number of graduate students coming from the most important international universities to improve their knowledge in economics. The course introduces to some of the principles of international economy, investigating the role of different Countries in the international economic scenario. It focuses on growth, on the strategies and instruments of monetary policy, on the structure and mechanisms of the financial sector, with a particular focus on the welfare state and unemployment.Every lesson includes a theoretical lecture and a debate on the discussed topics.Classes take place in a wonderful hotel conference center in Iseo, Brescia (Northern Italy).The official language of the course is English.During the week, students familiarize with the Italian culture and language. At the end of the course students will also receive a frequency certificate signed by our Chairman, Prof. Robert Solow. APPLICATION CONDITIONS AND DEADLINE Young graduates (Master and Phd) will be selected. Criteria for admission to the Summer School are based on curriculum vitae and students preparation to participate in advanced studies on the subject.
